STARSHIP FOREST PRIVACY STATEMENT

 

Starship Forest is an augmented reality (AR) application developed by Insight Creative in collaboration with Mercury and the Starship Foundation. The Starship Forest App uses the camera on your smartphone or tablet to digitally impose customised AR experiences over the camera lens view. While using the Starship Forest App, we only collect, use and disclose your information in accordance with this Privacy Statement, Mercury's Privacy Policy and the Starship Forest Terms and Conditions. By using the Starship Forest App, you agree to this Privacy Statement.

Information we collect when you use the Starship Forest

While the Starship Forest App is in use, we only collect information on the experiences you use and how you have used them. Activity information that is collected using the Starship Forest App includes:

  • How many times an experience is activated
  • Duration of experience activation
  • Buttons and links that have been clicked
  • Information about your device operating system
  • What country you reside in

Access to Camera

The Starship Forest App requires access to your device’s camera to track images or detect appropriate flat surfaces to generate the augmented reality. The Starship Forest App does not record any footage while your device's camera is in use when running the Starship Forest App.

How we use the information we collect

We use the information we collect from you using the Starship Forest App to give us feedback on customised content, how the Starship Forest App is being interacted with and to optimise the content we deliver. We will only share your information with third parties, including Insight Creative and the Starship Foundation, for these purposes.

Updates/changes

This document is updated when necessary, as new features are updated within the app and new content is added. We will tell you about any changes by posting an updated version of the Privacy Statement using the privacy link within the footer of the Starship Forest App. Any changes will apply from the date such update is posted.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.
