Mercury has been part of communities around Taupō and the Waikato awa for a long time. We’ve supported a lot of cool stuff over the years, and now we’re going to be able to do more. The Mercury Taupō Community Fund is an annual fund of $30,000 to support organisations and projects that benefit the communities around our power stations. This fund is open from 15 September to 15 October each year.
KEY INFORMATION
Applications to the Fund are considered by a small team including Mercury people who work or live around the Taupō area, to have a good understanding of where additional support (from the Fund) might make a real difference. We may not be able to accept all requests, or to support any request in full.
We will look at applications from within the Taupō District Council area, and preference may be given to applications from communities around our power stations.
Once your funded project is complete, use the Report Back form to confirm how you've spent the funds and how the projects are benefiting the community.
